  • Last days to enter t-shirt competition

Entries are still open for the 2010 Spark t-shirt competition, and there’s just one week left.

Spark is Wintec’s annual international festival of media arts and design. It provides a forum for those in the creative industries to meet and listen to cutting-edge national and international artists, writers, musicians, filmmakers and media personalities.

As Spark hits its 12th year, designers are again challenged to sum up the festival with a creative t-shirt design, which – if successful – will be the official Spark t-shirt.
Spark Project Manager Susanna Wilford believes the winning design is all about the designer’s interpretation and artistic execution.

“What we look for in the winning entry is how theme is interpreted and outstanding artistic execution. Last year we had entries from all over the country and yet the winning entry was Hamilton-based artist Glenn Leslie… it goes to show that you don’t have to go far afield to find an outstanding show of creativity and design.”

Theme for the t-shirt is loose, but designs should have a clear affinity with the Spark Festival of Media, Art and Design.

The winning designer will receive a $100 Gordon Harris voucher and have their design showcased on at least 200 chests.

For all enquiries and your entries, e-mail spark@wintec.ac.nz. Entries must be received no later than 5pm, Friday 2nd of July 2010
