Audio engineer MORGAN SAMUEL will not now be presenting as part of the Graduate Forum, due to stopping for some skiing on the way up to Hamilton and ending up in hospital. We wish him all the best and hope he feels better soon. His workshop will now happen on FRIDAY.

The future of documentary film making in New Zealand will be discussed at Wintec’s Spark festival of media arts this month. A panel of contemporary New Zealand film makers will talk about their experiences at a forum at Hamilton’s Lido Cinema on August 13.

A Shanghai-based design company, which says it is heavily influenced by New Zealand’s natural world, will be among the presenters at Spark 2010, Wintec’s international festival of media, arts and design.

Due to family reasons, US photographer Mary Mattingly has unfortunately had to withdraw from Spark 2010. However, Spark is very pleased to welcome noted NZ photographer Rebecca Swan, who has kindly agreed to fill this spot at short notice.

As Spark hits its 12th year, we’re looking forward to bringing you an exciting and dynamic festival. Spark will again be held at Wintec’s Hamilton City Campus in August, attracting both local and international guest speakers.
